Hughes also became the fourth defenceman in franchise history to record at least one assist in eight straight games played, and now sits only one game away from also tying Bubla (9 GP in 1983.83). Dennis Kearns is the only Canuck defenceman to reach a double digit assist streak at 11 games in 1976.77.

Registering three hits against Montreal on Nov. 9, Luke Schenn ranks second in NHL history for most career hits among defencemen at 2,897, sitting 49 hits away from Brooks Orpik for first. Schenn has collected the most hits amongst the Canucks (57 in 14 games) this season, nearly doubling Dakota Joshua and J.T. Miller who are tied for second at 29 apiece.

HORVAT'S HOT STREAK

Tallying eight goals in five games (Oct. 28-Nov.8), Bo Horvat tied Mikael Samuelsson (2009.10, March) and Alexandre Burrows (2009.10, January) for the most goals over a five-game span and are the only Canucks to achieve this record in the last 26 years. Horvat is also the first player in franchise history to have five multi-goal games in the first 13 games. He now ranks second in goals in the NHL this season at 12, only two behind Connor McDavid (14) for first place.

  • With 24 goals in 29 games since March 9, 2022, Horvat has the highest goals per game (0.83) in the League during that stretch (minimum 5 GP).
  • Scoring his fifth power play goal in three games (Oct. 28-Nov. 3), Horvat tied Ryan Kesler and Henrik Sedin for 10th most power play goals in franchise history (61), accomplishing the feat in 64 fewer games than Kesler (583 GP vs 647 GP) and 588 fewer games than Henrik (1,171 GP). The winger became the fourth Canucks player in the past 20 years to record three goals in a single frame joining Horvat (Oct. 22/19), Mikael Samuelsson (Mar. 9/10) and Markus Naslund (Oct. 21/02).

  • Martin extends this record to 6-0-4 with his regulation win against the Ottawa Senators on Nov. 8 facing 41 shots
